Insect Walk, May 11
Meet Moya Kinnealey, PA Master Naturalist and learn to appreciate the beneficial insects including pollinators, decomposers and social insects. Insects are essential in providing nourishment, homes and habitats for other animals, including humans. Discuss how to guard against destruction of this valuable resource. Please wear covered shoes, long
sleeve shirts, long pants and hat and bring water. Feel free to bring a magnifying glass, binoculars and/or flashlight.

May 13 Invasive Vine Removal Service Day
Join leader John Janick, owner of Good Host Plants, and Friends of Carpenter’s Woods volunteers to remove invasive plants in Carpenter’s Woods. Dress for the weather and working in the woods. Mosquitoes and poison ivy are likely to be present. Please wear covered shoes (boots or hard-soled shoes are best), long sleeve shirts, and long pants. Insect repellent recommended. Bring a bottle of water. Gloves and tools will be provided.
